More Tuesday Programs . . .

Tuesday, July 9th at 11AM: Farm and Garden Tour

First we’ll take a tour through a “petting zoo” of farm equipment, brought in by local farmers. We’ll talk about the different kinds of farming and learn what it takes to be a farmer versus a gardener. We’ll finish up with a “root veggie taste test”; all root veggies lovingly made by Children’s Librarian Cheri.

Tuesday, July 16th at 11AM: Pirate Day

Avast! Spend the day shivering timbers and walkin’ the plank! Make an eyepatch and a peg leg, decorate a treasure box for your cave, and then separate into treasure huntin’ teams. Each team gets a map which will lead you to different parts of the library and yard. You have to go in order, because each stop along the way gives you something you’ll need next! Watch out for booby traps… Find the treasure first and your team gets a special prize.

Tuesday, July 23th at 11AM: Dr. Can-Do Science

Have you ever looked closely at dirt? Come to the library and run some down and dirty experiments to explore what’s always beneath your feet.

Tuesday, July 30th at 11AM: Drumming with Otha Day

Spend an hour learning about world drumming techniques, singing songs, hearing stories, and doing some of your own drumming in the biggest drum circle in Hatfield! Otha Day is a renowned drummer who visits libraries all over the area.
